My obsession with Monotype is due to the immediacy of gesture—through texture, pressure, and mark-making— which interacts with the sense of longevity created by layered, sedimentary marks. I work directly with oil-based inks on plexiglass, rolling, wiping, and scraping to create nuanced surfaces. Layering is central: I revisit prints over time, adding and reframing elements.
